THUNDER BAY, ON - January 21, 2010 - Habitat for Humanity Thunder Bay is giving Family Fun Dayfamilies something to do this upcoming Family Day. Today Habitat representatives announced details of their Second Annual Family Fun Day- the only indoor Family Day event happening in the City of Thunder Bay.

The event is designed to offer families from the community a day of fun, filled of healthy, affordable and interactive activities for all ages. More than three-thousand community members attended last year’s function, and CEO Diane Mitchell says; “This year’s affair is sure to be a crowd pleaser. The event is going to be even bigger and better, promising more action, more entertainment and more indoor activity fun for all Thunder Bay families!”

Family Fun Day has an endless list of activities that local families are going to want to participate in, including a disco dance room, paintball, rock climbing, inflatable play structures, along with the largest twister game ever played in the city of Thunder Bay. Mitchell says; “There will be a variety of interests for parents and kids– sports, picnic games and races, live entertainment, interactive demonstrations, exhibits, arts and crafts, something for everyone.”

Family Fun DayThe event will also be the venue where the winner of the 2nd Annual 100-thousand dollar lottery will be drawn. Currently only five-thousand tickets have been sold, which increases the odds of winning. Mitchell says; “We can’t forget about the other winners-- Thunder Bay families who are provided with a safe place to call home because of events like Family Fun Day”.

All proceeds raised from the lottery and the family day event will stay in the community to help support the 2010 house builds for families in need.

Family Fun Day will be held on February 15th from 10:30 a.m.  until 4:30 p.m. Tickets for a family of four are only five dollars. Exhibitors are still being accepted for the event.
